Mother's Day

Dscn0288 I just wanted to check in to wish my late mother - Eileen, Aurora, Peggy, Ginny, Beth VW, Lisa and all of the other good mothers out there a happy and blessed Mother's Day.  I hope your families are spoiling you.  Most importantly, I would like to wish a Happy Mother's Day to the soon to be best Mom of all.  My wife, TVFL, who has been carrying our first with an unmatched grace and class during a tough time to be so far away.  I am so blessed by her presence in my life, that her love overwhelms me in the best of ways.  She will be among the best of mothers there has been.  Thanks to her, ours is going to be one lucky kid.  I love her more than anything I have ever known.

Major K:

Thank you for acknowledging Mother's Day. I have been estranged from my mother since 1998.

Sir, can you comment on this?:

"Coalition soldiers also captured 55 suspected insurgents in raids Saturday in Baghdad and the area around Mashru, about 50 miles south of the capital, the U.S. military said. Those detained included an unidentified senior military officer in Saddam's government."

As always, thank you for your service.
